Mom really wanted to go to NYC for her birthday this year, but it just didn't work. For her birthday I decided to "take" her there for the day and do things in Edmonton that she would be doing in NYC. We went downtown to see the tree in Churchill Square, had lunch, dessert and prosecco at the Hotel MacDonald, then did some shopping at City Center Mall. She loved it.
